He has been a professional actor for 45 years. He began performing with South Coast Repertory in California, while still attending U.C.Irvine. Moving to New York in 1974, he immediately gained work in regional theater, theatrical tours, and on the daytime drama, All My Children. Making his Broadway debut in 1978's Deathtrap, he proceeded to add Woman of the Year, Crazy for You and South Pacific to his Broadway credits. He's toured nationally and internationally in such hits as 42nd Street, Footloose, Crazy for You, and A.R. Gurney's 'Children' ; Performed classical and modern classic plays with Al Pacino, Richard Kiley, John Wood, Sada Thompson, Stacy Keach, Marian Seldes, Jerry Orbach, Betty Buckley, John Cullum, Jeff Daniels, Harriet Harris, Christian Borle and Matt Morrison.
He's been directed by Daniel Sullivan, Robert Moore, Mike Ockrent, Susan
Stroman, Gerald Freedman, George Schaefer, Margarett Perry, Joe Discher, Walter Bobbie, Mark Bramble, Michael Parva, Deanna Dys, and Jack Going, to name but a few.
On film and TV, he has appeared on Marvelous Mrs Meisal, M*A*S*H, the entire Law & Order franchise, Love Hurts, Tales from the Darkside, and Kate & Allie. But he's proudest of his work in the Civil War film "Kingdom Coming," and the mockumentary "Monkey Juggler."
